You mean the product key?

Hold down the windows logo key and hit the button that says pause/break on your keyboard (near print screen and scroll lock)

It should say something like:

System:

Microsoft Windows XP
Professional Edition
Version 2002
Service Pack 2

Registered to:

Mr John Smith
Smith Computers Ltd.
(Product key e.g 7402-OEM-4543543-5435435)

Computer:

Intel
Pentium 3 3ghz
1gb ram

It's also printed on your original dicumentation. Mine is on the envelope the first disk came in.

Or if its OEM then it is a sticker attatched to the case of your pc

You can always check the control panel under the title 'System' its displayed on the first page shown.

Thats what i said. Windows key + break opens system
