I have a Dell B130 and it says media disconnected. I tried to repair the connection and it won't repair. I did a ipconfig /release and it says media disconnected. I did a uninstall in the device manager and it still won't work.

look at the network adapter, are both lights going? if not it could be a bad cord/device/NIC.
If you have a CD bootable Linux disk (everyone should) you can boot to that and see if it will work, that'll tell you if it's hardware or software.
