On my computer I can do this:

Click on "My Computer" then
Click on "View System Information" on the System Tasks window then
Click on "Hardware" on the System Properties window then
Click on "Device Manager"

From there you will see Network Adapters listed if you have any. Then if you do there should be something with WLAN listed.
