Are you the same guy in VBForums that ask the mods to ban you(for same reason) for a whole month(and actually got your wish!)?

I recently got hired as a .NET programmer and compared to C++ and Java, it's like a walk in the park. .NET languages are extremelly easy, in my opinion. If I can do it, anyone can do it. You just have to personally want to make it as a programmer.

I'm on mine all day long. I take a few breaks here and there, maybe take a bike ride, play a little, and stuff like that. My computer stays on 24-7 because I'm either on it, or on a short break away from it.

I play chess online everyday (mostly with an old friend in Germany who really puts a beating on me sometimes). It's about the only game I can stand anymore. Other things I just cannot get into except for occasionally a soccer or hockey match via console with friends.

Best thing to do is find a tough problem and solve. Most of what you'll encounter in the workplace is new territory, so know the basics, know how to locate and search through API's and get good at logic. Logic problems will help you more than anything (in my opinion), …

Toulinwoek wins hands down. I'm deeply suprised at the voting turnout which in my opinion shows some obvious favoritism. Good work Toulinwoek, you're the winner in my opinion.

I don't see a purpose in going overboard with a huge password you can't remember, but it's all up to you. Add some numbers and what not. For financial and very important administration accounts, then yes, I would have a password that requires you to write it down. Basically, it's …

I wouldn't start with GridBag right away. It's 'slightly' more complicated than the others and almost everytime you'll end up using several different layout managers together... Not just one. Personally, I like nesting JPanels. There's no single book. If you want to learn just GUI then go with Sun's swing …

Take a look at the StringTokenizer or Regex packages and then get back if you still have questions. You should be able to specify white space as a delimiter and quickly be able to count the number of words.

Why couldn't you split your code into seperate methods and execute a certain method when you need it? As Wolf said, goto is bad practice and I consider it old school :cheesy:
