Re: During my short foray into the world of 3D Studio Max I found this site was helpful, but you need a little a priori knowledge if you plan on doing the stuff. http://www.3dcafe.com/asp/tut3ds.asp
Re: As an avid Mac user, I'm repulsed by his theft of Mac's ideas and the Windows system in general. I wouldn't go so far to call him evil, he's done a lot of good things with his money.
Re: Mine: -Halo -Deus Ex: Invisible War -Shadowbane -Morrowind 3 -Diablo 2 -Theif -KOTOR
Re: Sweden and Switzerland, they're the most liberal countries on the planet. I'm going there next summer.

Re: A wee bit vague, don't ya think? You'll need a C compiler, a good guide, and a few bucks. Do a google search or buy a book, they're the best way to get started.
Re: As an avid mac user and Steve Job's cult member, I'm going with the iMac G5. I know people just like you who were tottering between the Mac and PC and they wet themselves with joy after purchasing the Mac. It's much better for music, whether your a pro or …
Re: Sometimes .exe's are compressed files and can be uncompressed with StuffIt. It's rare, but it's happened to me a a few times.
Re: I have one, but I don't generally use it. I got one just for the sake of getting one.
Re: My dad used to own a Viper, until he swore off American cars. I was never very fond of it, I'm not much of a speed demon, but more of a comfy seat kindof guy. If you like speed it was faster than a bat out of Hell, but the …
Re: I play it for Xbox, but my iMac isn't quite up to the challenge. I'm anxiously waiting the release of Halo 2.
Re: Most mail servers have some pretty blatant vulnerabilities. I've used a few to get into servers before (legally, I was fussing with my friend's server.)
Re: Besides the fact that I was horribly disaapointed with gameplay and it has the worst ending of any game ever created, I enjoyed it.
Re: I've read parts of "The Matrix and Philosophy" and it's mostly psuedo-intellectual crap, just like the movies are. Matrix is nothing but a poorly done allegory of Plato's "cave". If you want some real philosophy go buy Nietszche of Descartes, don't waste you time on the Matrix.
Re: I have the same problem and I can't seem to get anything to work. The biggest problem is getting those first few members to post a bunch, but I can't even find a good base.
Re: I'm reluctantly supporting Kerry. He's not far enough to the left for me, but he's better than Bush. I would support Nader or the Socialist Party USA candidate, but my time is better spent with Kerry this year.
Re:
There really isn't a need for the draft right now. Does anyone see a need for one? I'm kind of at a loss to see why we'd need a draft, as there's not really any particular area where we can't handle ourselves, IMHO.
Have you watched the news within …
Re: I usually find the best, active bembers of my boards or solicit old friends from other boards.
Re: It's wierd that the PDA won't accept it, my Tungsten C will accept any styluses. You can even use you finger. What kind of device are you using?
Re: You can't get a Pentium processor in an iBook. Pentiums run on the x86 architecture, where as Apples use PowerPC, thus your Powerbook would be a g3/g4. After some quick checking on E-Bay I've found this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=80050&item=5722671079&rd=1 It's a little nicer than what you asked for, but I'm sure you'll …
Re: You can send most program to the trash. If you need to do more than that the application will usually have an uninstalling app inside the folder. As for windows things, there are Mac equivalents for most of those. If you don't want to purchase a bunch of new software …
Re: You could get a tutor, many schools offer them for free. You may also want to pay better attention, participate a lot, I found that helped me get it. Another thing is to get some DVDs and set them to Spanish language settings. Our teachers do that every few weeks, …
Re: Download Firefox or Netscape and seeif you have the same problem. If you do have the same problem then it's a hardware issue probably, but if it only drops the site on IE then your IE settings are probably off.
Re: I'll do it. http://www.applereport.com/forum
Re: I had the same problem, but I fixed it. The .SD_Helper thing is from Speed Download, which you seem to have download. There's an uninstall app in the Speed Download folder, or you can do it yourself by deleting the SD Preferences files.
Re: There's a setting that makes your screen saver goon everytime you put your mouse in the corner. You can turn it off in the Screensaver Prefs pannel.
Re: I think that the case could be prettier, maybe aluminum as opposed to the white eMac look.
I'm looking for a free Linux system for my Mac. I'm wondering which is the best one for me. I'm fairly expirienced with Unix and X11 and computers in general, but I don't want something to tough to use. I've heard Yellow Dog (Red Hat Port) is one of the …
Re: There's a large range of software you can use. PHPBB, Invision Powerboard, and VBulliten are the most popular currently. PHPBB and IPB are both free and offer god services. VBulliten is $160 (I think) and it's by far the best. You get the most control, best support, and best look. …
Re: One of our friends has a home in Florida and the roof had a tree through it, but fortunatly they were up in safe, dry Michigan.
Re: Nifty, it's the music from "Fight Club". Anyways, while this is an interesting video, I know it's been debunked by many people. Not all of them are the nutty right wing patriots, either. Repected liberal like Noam Chomsky and Gore Vidal said that it was a misconception.
Re: My first day was last Tuesday. I went from getting 14 hours of sleep a night to 5 or 6. Damn school.
Re: Don't tell George Bush, or computers will be filed under "evil-doers" and "terists".

Re: I might still have my copy laying around. I'll dig through my massive random CD pile later.
Re: I also think that the Powerbook would be a better option. I've noticed that Powerbook screens tend to be a bit sharper and brighter. There are a few option for TV reception. You could look at the EyeTV from El Gato that takes cable or antenna. It will work with … |
