Re: Macs are overpriced... They look nice from a distance but up close you see the cheap plastic, the poor workmanship, etc. The same spec hardware (and in many cases the same exact hardware) in a standard case running FreeBSD (on which MacOSX is based) costs you maybe a quarter of …
Re: we're not going to help you create spyware. If you are legitimate you already have access to the data and all you need to do is find a way to parse the firewall logs. If you're not legitimate what you're trying to do is a criminal offense.

Re: In the USMC she would be. Of the kind of "yes sir, mam, sir" :)
Re: You can't get information on one machine about things running on another, period. You need at the very least a process on that remote machine that collects the data and hands it to you when requested.
Re: to start check the Sun certification website to find out what the requirements for the exam are. From there figure out what resources you need to study to master the exam objectives and study those. After that (and concurrently if you wish) try those practice exams Ezzaral mentioned.
Re: The ONLY thing the 1st states is that the FEDERAL government shall not force people to observe any specific religion. It says NOTHING about whether agents of the federal government can be religion, or even openly religious, in the execution of their duties, as long as they don't force others …
Re: and? We're not here to handhold you and tell you what to do at every stage. We're also not here to do it all for you, or to guess what you're having trouble with.
Re: possibly, using Java's ability to host scripting languages. It would of course require a lot of work to make a VBScript engine that conforms to the required APIs. But you're most likely looking for something else, something that can NOT be done, which is calling serverside Java code from VBScript …
Re: I've never heard of Rumba, but I assume it's some sort of terminal emulator? Under Unix, append the command line with a "&" to force the process into the background. That will allow you to close the terminal without the command terminating. Or, better yet, use the "screen" command to …

Re: because the vast majority of people who aren't spammers are entirely against spam, and don't want anything to do with it. They certainly aren't going to spam forums (and email, usenet, etc.) with spam messages in their signatures. Adding spam to their signatures would make them outcasts, and rightly so. …
Re: Indeed there is no "best". Do you think anything else would survive in the market if one program was "best" in such a way that it alone was suitable for anything and everything? At most there may be a "best" program for a specific task in a specific environment for …

Re: Most such tools (maybe all) simply have a list of ports and the services they typically belong to. For example port 80 is standardised for http, port 25 for smtp, 21 for ftp, and so on. Others may try to determine what's running on a port by sending some packets …

Re: anyone writing such crap in a JSP gets what he deserves when (and it will) it doesn't work.
Re: don't crosspost, wannabe criminal.
Re: You should NOT connect to anything from a JSP. Do that in a servlet (or rather a business logic class called from a servlet) which the JSP form points to. The servlet can then forward the request to some JSP after it's handled it for displaying the results.

Re: Contact Toshiba, their nearest service center, or your dealer. Either one should be able to provide you with service. If it's like what I had with my 4970 about 8 years ago it will need major repairs.
Re: So you created something you have no clue as to how to deploy? Tough luck kid... You're going to need at the very least the latest version of IIS installed, quite like a database engine as well, and maybe more. As that's unlikely to be available, you loose.
Re: It's too lazy to do its own thinking, what makes you think it's not too lazy to do its own research. Lazy buggers like it should never pass their exams so as to prevent things like it from giving the industry a bad name.
Re: 1) don't do business logic (which includes database access) from JSPs 2) don't use the JDBC-ODBC bridge driver 3) close ALL database related resources after you're done with them, but at worst at the end of handling a single http request 4) do so inside a finally block so you …
Re: yep, they released 6.0 some time ago. I believe the betas of 6.1 are already available in fact :) Got it installed on one machine to check it out, but haven't gotten around to using it yet. Way too much fun and productivity with IntelliJ 6 (yes, I'm cheap, I've …

Re: JNI won't work. The question makes little sense as placed. If the "remote methods" have a published protocol to call them implement that protocol. If they don't, tough luck.
