You get a Les Paul Custom instead because they're better.
I put in a CRT Monitor

Well I use www.titanhost.com but I know they are quite expensive at £11 for 2 years but really that isn't alot of money anyway. I think you can get it down to £2-£5 you could go to www.123-reg.com .
I hope that helps you but really there isn't much difference between 5 and 10 pounds...
free flowing --> river
You go backpacking through australia which is nice
I put in a skype phone
For example, Nominet UK only allows companies registered in the UK to aquire domains ending with .plc.uk. At the end of the day, the organisations that maintain the DNS services are the only ones that can be expected to regulate the allocation of names
Yeah, i think this is also true for .ltd.uk domains, they are restricted to uk limited companies. However most mainstream internet companies go for the .com or .co.uk domain anyway. But yes I also think it is the domain allocators who should take the responsibility of stopping domain "squatters" from buying domains that are clearly going to be wanted by a company in the future.
As a developer the two things that get on my nerves most are
<rant>
a) Users/clients. Yes I know they pay the bills but it doesn't half piss me off when I complete a piece of work that meets their initial requirements then some bright spark comes up with an idea that requires a total refactoring of it. Ok, my company will charge extra for this but I don't see any of it and I'm the one who gets bored out of my face re-doing their bloody change requests.
Yeah, I agree. Often it isn't really the money that matters as much as finishing it because sometimes they can be so boring.
LOL. I suppose they must be a bit flustered if they have a essay in for the next day. Help them and maybe they will help you in some way in the future ;)
brothers --> boys
IntelliTXT hasn't replaced any of the other forms of advertising Daniweb currently uses. So claiming "it's better than other types of ads" isn't particularly relevant.
I meant that it is better than having large flash ads all over the site and popups and overlay ads. IntelliTXT is fine compared to those.
What the "debate" over IntelliTXT reinforced, to me, was the profound change in tone and style here. The friendly Daniweb I knew and loved would never make "management" decisions that would cause valued moderators to leave.
You must remember that this site has grown hugely over the past year so of course it is going to change. If a site doesn't have a business objective then there would be no way that a site that gets this many visitors could cover bandwidth costs. The other thing is that it is paying dani's wage and I think she deserves to live of the masterpiece that she has made for us. Without her working on it full time and just working on it as a hobby I think the experience would differ greatly.
It would never make a decision that would dramatically lessen the quality of responses in the programming sections. The old Daniweb valued posts for their quality of response, professionalism or knowledge, moreso than the revenue they could bring.
Members, management and moderators of the site still take each post seriously for it's content and professionalism. If it was just about getting hits and getting money from …
british --> queen
endless threads they
Blackadder --> Mr Bean
If the answer to both is very, then because always comes out as becuase for some reason.
Now there is one word I always get wrong
home --> house
You get a broken Ned Cell
I put in a stylus
batmobile --> phone
I give you wardrobe, a lion and a witch. I suppose you could put your other clothes in the wardrobe. As for the lion and the witch maybe you could just shove them through the back of the wardrobe.
I put in an antellope
Yeah I know but atleast i can get the upgrade. That knocks over 100 off. Hopefully if we wait couple of months it will come down in price a fair bit.
if you like easy distros like fedora and suse give mandriva free or PcLinux OS a try.
I will give them a try but I am not sure about running something with the letters PC in it. lol
Neither I am. I had no plans of advising people to squat for domains or buy them myself. Don't worry,
i like the intellitiext as i think it would either have to be that or full page ads, no? - and i dont think anyone would want that
Yes I agree. But I don't think they want a debate to take place.
You get the river Thames
I out in a comb
birds --> robin
More like as little as $5-10 for a decent host for a personal site.
Oops, I meant per year.
WHat was the point in buying XP n? You can remove windows media player anyway... Did it cost you less, I'm guessing not.
It is better at running more aps and higher demanding programs. But importantly you cannot run it unless you have a 64 bit processor!!!
My typing mistakes usually come up when I switch keyboards.
I get that alot. My problem is that when I am on my desktop I use a ergonomic keyboard so it is quite different to my laptops and other desktops I use. But i get used to using the keyboard I'm on in a couple of mins normally.
you get the miracle of fire
I put in some crisps
singapore --> Singing
prizes --> Raffle
No argument here. I think it is fine and probably one of the best types of advertisement because you have the choice of whether to look at or not and it does not take any screen space. But no debate is required. Thanks happygeek for answering my question.
I'm sorry to bring this up because it obviously caused a bit of a problem, but what was the is with IntelliTXT? And why did people leave over it? Just the basic idea is fine or a link...
bingo --> Line
Exactly what I thought. That was probably my worst ever mistake in spelling and typos. That shows what not lying in does to a person. ;)
Nice post there ^ lol. Anyway, yeah I agree that it should kept within the management ranks otherwise there could be some fake and obstructive votes.
i keep nispelling simple words e.g the becomes teh
I once made a quick website for a friend and I wrote all the content at about 6am and showed it him later that day to find that almost every the was spelt teh. It was pretty embarrasing.
