politics --> government
And FF has the IE tab which is very useful in web development because IE is so slow when you open it.
You could just host your blog yourself for very little money. As little as $40 per month or maybe even less. With that you could add your own website infront of the blog as well.
You get a father earth depressed at home in his underwear watching tv because he has lost his wife :(
I put in compass
Do you think that if you own a domain that someone else wants because its their companies or products name you should just give it to them at a normal price?
Thanks for all the great advice guys
No sorry, I don't mean can't spell I mean that you constantly just type it wrong when you are typing like getting letters the wrong way round and stuff like that.
I think I have almost sorted it for you but I cannot get rid of one of the gaps. You need to use the following css (please make a backup of your old one first):
body {
font-family : Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
font-size : 12px;
color : #186565;
background-color : #fff;
background-image:url(images/bg.gif);
letter-spacing:1px;
border:0;
}
#nav img {
padding: 0;
margin: 0;
border: 0;
}
body, td, th {
color : #000000;
}
a:link {
color: #000000;
}
a:visited {
color: #000000;
}
a:hover {
color: #A06047;
}
a:active {
color: #000000;
}
#container {
width : 780px;
height : 726px;
margin-right : auto;
margin-left : auto;
}
#banner {
width:780px;
height:130px;
background-color:#C1D4FF;
padding: 0px;
border: 0px;
margin: 0px;
}
#nav {
width:780px;
height: 78px;
border-width: 0px;
margin: 0px;
padding: 0px;
margin-bottom: 0px;
background-color:#C1D4FF;
line-height: 0px;
}
#content {
height:450px;
width : 780px;
padding:0;
margin-top: 0px;
border-width: 0px;
background-repeat:no-repeat;
background-color:#C1D4FF;
background-image:url(images/contentbg.gif);
}
#content img {
float:right;
padding: 0;
margin: 0;
border: 0;
}
#pics {
width:350px;
height:225px;
float:left;
padding:3px;
}
#pics img {
padding-right:5px;
padding-bottom:5px;
float:left;
padding: 0;
margin: 0;
border: 0;
}
#footer {
height:30px;
width : 780px;
padding:2px;
background-color:#C1D4FF;
}
#footer img {
padding: 0;
margin: 0;

.style1 {
font-size: 18px;
font-weight: bold;

h1 {
font-family:"Times New Roman", Times, serif;
font-weight:bold;

Hope that helps

I give you a pepsi
I put in a set of ipod headphones
I thought it would be interesting to see what people can't type or atleast make mistakes on. I know I make mistakes when ever I have to press the (') key and when I have to type unfortunately. I also make mistakes on "color" because in the UK it is spelt colour but because I post on this forum it often becomes luck of the draw which one I actually type.
What can't you type?
Harry Potter --> John Williams (composer of sound track)
I give you light !!!!!!!
I put in a bus
I give you the other one, welcome to stereo
I put in a retro record player
Good to know you are commited (obviously). I think i will get a PS3 if any, I have always been a fan of the playstation but not really of that price tag. I am not really much of a gamer and I do all of my gaming on the PC at the moment but I might buy a PS3 when it drops that ugly price tag a bit.
Creepy --> Crawly
I give you a car with your gas and some I put in because you didn't supply enough yourself lol
I put in a box of firestarters
strange being --> spiders
I take out a needle and turn your cloth into a cover for your favourite possesion
I put in a volume control
test subject --> humans (atleast its that way in the hitch hikers guide..)
That is a good way of looking at it. I think I was off this site for 6 months - 1 year but I am now back and staying! I never though of the PM bit. I suppose that might make sense. But please people don't be shy we are all very nice people :)
Thanks for the info
Surely you didn't really need 5 xp pro machines you could have just bought one or two upgrades costing you much less than £770. But, i can't really talk because I haven't got XP pro ;) Just remember Ultimate or business not Home this time round ;)
Inhuman crime --> Alien-probe
Yeah, fair point. Maybe you should sent it twice a week apart and then send it twice a year if you think you will get more visitors. I would make sure you take your current members of the list though.
I just wondered cscgal what do you do with your members if they don't make posts after a year or so if they only have a couple under the belt anyway? Have you ever deleted any members for this reason?
Cheers
Oh i see, so do you test all your apps and stuff on the server. I don't have XP Pro but any "server-side" stuff I do I upload to my web server. I suppose your way is faster. How much did the server cost? I bet you are regretting not buying pro straight off.
There is no crime if you just find a domain that you think might be used for a product that hasn't been made yet. I know there isn't much chance of you guessing one and I for one don't have the money to spend one hundreds of domains. I was just trying to see what other people could be popular domains in future that aren't owned at the mo. I had absolutely no intention of going and buying them. No illegal activity here don't worry ;)
I am sure there must be a way of doing this without excluding the doctype otherwise I doubt that a professional website like vue would do it. Anyone?
Well kind of but, the wysiwy(d)g editor I am using now at the precise moment is doing exactly what I want it to do. Although programs like frontpage make a mess of html programs like word do exactly what you want them to do.
hehe, that was possibly the world record of the fastest reply ever. 1 minute. Probably less. I look forward to next months newsletter then ;)
I'm only joking, that was no complaint. I didn't really expect a mention tbh. Cheers
First of all I have to say I have no experience in anything but web "programming" (not the real thing ;) ).
However, sometimes I find it very frustrating when I just cannot workout why something is wrong but i would expect this to be similar in say just your standard tech suppost guy. But I find that when programming the pay backs are immense because you actually create something there and then yourself whereas if you are doing a job like IT support then the only satisfaction is knowing that you have fixed someones problem of accidentally losing the word icon on their desktop. ;)
I don't think you could really call programming the most frustrating IT occupation. But it has its moments
I did wonder why I couldn't get onto the site but it was a nice daniweb digest though. I didn't get a mention though :( lol
Keep up the fantastic work.
Urr, that cancer one is really nasty but they are cool pics, cheers
you get a tiger pattern car seat
I put in an envelope with your name on it
Robin Hood --> Friar Tuck (sorry if i cant spell)
Mike Rowe springs to mind. M$ threatened to take him to court simply because he had a domain, that was his name and was similar to M$; MikeRoweSoft.com
Yes, I remember that. Oh boy how much i hate microsoft. That site isn't even in use they could atleast point it to their proper site.:mad:
Oh right, do you have the solution. Please post it when you find it. I have looked before for this effect and I never found a code to solve it. Let us know.
Hey I come from the uk as well and I live north of london (just), i would actually quite like to live in London someday though.
Anyway, Welcome to the Community and hope we can help or be helped;)
