Is there a way to maybe have the feature of emailing the post itself after the user has reached a certain amount of posts, there is an incentive for users to post more to get a better service. Of course this is probably really quite hard to do now i have thought about it but it could well be something you should keep in mind.

That is extremely unlikely because to recieve an email about a thread you must have already posted in it once!

I do honestly totally understand that you have to make money out of this and I am very glad that it is a completely free service. However, I also understand that people post for you for free! Which really means that as well as you being the "producer" of this community most of the posts are answered by members;)

If you wouldn't mind I would like to know after a couple of months whether you have noticed an increase in ad clicks and by what percentage, I am obviously not asking for anything specific.

All I look for in an "editor" is a directory listing on the side, the ability to open more than one file at a time, a built in FTP/CVS client, and maybe autocoloring/autoindent of code.

I agree with this but I don't use dreamweaver's FTP I just like a good simple one like Filezilla.

About the whole design view not giving you an accurate representation, this is totally true and drives me insane because sometimes it would be nice to view the page there.

Little things make all the difference. Even when some organisation has been cuasing me grief all year, the fact that they send me a card and a USB memory stick for Xmas makes me forget all that and think they are lovely.

Yeah, I agree I like all of the good customer service situations and because you don't get them often anymore because of people hiding behind their email on their computers it really warms your heart to know they almost care.

#1 - DaniWeb revenue is generated when people visit the actual site and see the advertisemens.

I though this was supposed to be a community not a business. You are supposed to be supplying a service to people and the way people normally change services for the better!

#2 - When people are reading a message via email, they read it and then go on to the next email in their inbox. When people are reading the message on the site, they are much more likely to start replying, surf other pages on DaniWeb, and it just makes things a whole lot more sticky.

I have definately done that with your emails but if there was something I actually wanted to reply to I would always click the link. Why make people click on a link to find something like

There is no reason for me to reply to this, I would have wanted to reply to your thread. There are endless amounts of posts on this forum that just say, "I agree" or "yes thats right".

Look into promoting your site on google adsense and adwords. Add your sites to link exchange programs and post on forums like this one with the websites in your sig.

Many web browsers nowadays associate an icon with a favorites item, a request for favorite.ico on the web server.

This is true but just because the browser requests it, it doesn't mean the person has added it to their favourites because they often display them in the address bar as well and at the left hand side of the tab, so that would mean the cpanel counter would count every time it displayed the web page.

I think seen as you are new to this stuff images are probably the best plan instead of learning endless code languages. Do you have any knowledge in graphics at all because I am happy to take you through how to do what you want. Please post a site that you like that uses the ideas you are interested in. We will make sure you can achieve what you want.

In my opinion certificates don't really matter, I think people are more likely to base their decision of whether to use your service on what they see you have done before. Couldn't you spend more time making websites and selling your service instead of getting a scrap of paper with your name on it?

How many people have spent time going through pages of google search results to see if their page is there? Well wouldn't it be good if we could just search through the search results, like a filter? Or even in the Google tools bit if you could type in your website and it would tell you for what keywords and where your site appears. If this already exists please tell us.
