Problem seems to have gone away - sorry for the delay on resolving this but Dani is poorly at the moment (me as well, lovely fever on xmas day) and things naturally take a little longer to get sorted at this time of year when people are away visiting relatives etc.

As has been said, you just have to live with it. Reputation, both good and bad, is given at the whim of the person giving it, it is their opinion, and as such we cannot say they are right or wrong.

However, they can only give you the one bit of rep a day, and rep given in the lounge does not impact upon your displayed score.

Just ignore it...

The insult is in the insinuation that the poster would regard the Nazis as being the heroes of WW2.

Perhaps we can let this lie now, and concentrate on the actual subject of the thread. If not I guess I will just have to hit it with my big thread closing stick...

Yes, to clarify:

Giving reputation is a personal thing, and the management will not step in and say 'you should not have neg repped that person' for that very reason.

Abiding by the rules is a site-wide requirement, so if you are rude and offensive in your blog or even in a reputation comment then you will be warned and/or infracted and you could end up banned if you do not heed those warnings.

Bizarre. I went to the symantec website, filled in the support email form, and got a response within 2 hours. That response was the usual scripted nonsense, and it took another 24 hours for them to reply to my rather scalding explanation of why the advice was as much use as a one legged man at butt kicking party. I gave up after the second email turned out to be as much use as the first, uninstalled and reinstalled the app (Norton 360) and all worked find from then on. It was a problem with LiveUpdate which had got itself in a right old mess.
