It is her birthday today, funnily enough.
And my best mate, and best man at my wedding, celebrated his on 26th December.
We all suffer from the same thing: xmas cards which people scrawl 'and happy birthday' on to save the cost of another card!!!

As for the BBC Reboot compo, I actually quite liked the understated simplicity of the winning BBC Malkovitch design but would have to agree that overall one would have expected a higher level of entries. Mind you, I cannot really criticise anyone for web design skills - take a look at happygeek.com to see why :)
I like the idea of a Team DaniWeb, not just for web design but other programming and development competitions as well.
Here's hoping that your 2007 will be everything you want it to be, and that DaniWeb will continue to play a part in it.
Thanks to everyone for their contributions during 2006, we couldn't have grown to where we are today without you, the DaniWeb community.
Nice one
Thank you kindly sir. :)
Happy New Year weekend warrior, and welcome to DaniWeb.
Worse I have ever drunk was in Prague when I 'went native' and joined in a (excuse the spelling) 'slivovitch' drinking session. Crikey, that stuff burns your stomach lining clean away...
When the SOS man said ask for all the help you need, he didn't mean ask in this forum :) This is just for introducing yourself, welcome to DaniWeb by the way, rather than tech support.
You need to ask that one in either the Visual Basic or Databases forum I should imagine.
Hi David, welcome to DaniWeb my friend.
Hi SVC, welcome to DaniWeb my friend.
Welcome to DaniWeb my friend, with that kind of attitude you are going to fit in just nicely around here methinks.
Bag of sand became popular in the motor trade, in particular the used car business.
Hello and welcome to DaniWeb, looks like you need to explore the tech talk forums where you should find all the plain English help you need.
Hi Clizzark, welcome to DaniWeb.
Hello, and welcome to DaniWeb. This is the introduction forum where you say hi and get to know folk, not a place for questions such as these.
I would suggest you pop over to the web browsers forum where people can help you with regard to browser history and cache issues.
Hi Digi, you are managing just fine! Welcome to DaniWeb, here's hoping you find all the help and discussion your are looking for in our community.
Hi, and welcome to DaniWeb. Sorry, but I snipped the URL out of your posting - if people have an IT related problem then they are already in the right place to ask for help, DaniWeb!
Hi Mainak, welcome to DaniWeb.
Hi Roberto. welcome to DaniWeb.
Indeed. Hence my original fishing response to try and get a clearer picture of intent in this case.
Have you looked at Rollyo which is free, lets you define and save your own mini-search engines based upon whatever criteria you like, and even share these with others (including the ability to edit and then save as your own) which might be something like what you are looking for?
Welcome to DaniWeb.
This is the introductions topic, by the way, so feel free to introduce yourself.
S'OK, you weren't in the doghouse to start with. It was just a mere nudge to ensure the thread didn't develop any further in that direction :)
Hi Abdullrhman, welcome to DaniWeb.
I was fishing to give the guy a chance to explain what he was after and either dig a hole in which to bury himself or build a picture of something other than illegal activity.
There have been times when people use the term 'hacking' to mean something other than the expected - I've had people talk to me about mashups and refer to them as hacks, and indeed there's a whole series of O'Reilly books with a 'hacks' imprint.
Ahem. I would rather the conversation did not go down the road of social engineering hints and tips.
We really don't want to encourage the wanabee hacker, and there is a 'keep it legal' rule here remember.
Does a custom made wax seal for my hand-written letters, featuring a rather nice monogram, count as a tech toy?
Retro-tech?
Nah, thought not :)
Hi Muhammad, welcome to DaniWeb and here's hoping you find all the help you could need here.
Merry Yule.
Yeah, welcome to DaniWeb and Merry Yule and have a Happy New Year in advance while we are at it :)
Merry Yule one and all!
Merry Yule and welcome to DaniWeb, where I am sure there will be people to help you with whatever IT related problems you are having.
Merry Yule and welcome to DaniWeb. You need to go and ask your iPod question in the Gadgets and Gizmos forum where all the people most likely to be able to help hang out.
Good luck!
A very merry Yule to you as well, and welcome to DaniWeb.
Merry Yule to one and all.
I got a kit to build a trike chopper out of Lego, because I miss my real one which had to be swapped for a car when I started my second family...
Hi Nuruddin, welcome to DaniWeb from the lovely Happygeek :)
Depends what you mean by hack, and what it is you are actually trying to do.
Infamy, infamy, they've all got in infamy.
With apologies to all Carry On fans...
What he said :)
Can I just qualify that to say if you need help then always post it in the appropriate forum. That way not only do you get the best chance of getting the best advice from a number of people, but the help on offer becomes available to others who might have a similar problem in the future.
By emailing or sending a PM to get help, none of the above applies and devalues the DaniWeb resource for the entire community.
Welcome to DaniWeb. Thanks for the comments, we try to make it as warm and cuddly as possible :)
So we could go to a Tequila bar :)
I've always been interested in 'odd' musical fusions, and the use of tradtional Indian instruments within a metal/rock framework rather appeals.
But then I love Einstruzende Neubauten, so I am certainly strange. Went to a concert of theirs once which used a building that was being demolished as the stage - the instruments included putting a sound probe into a concrete block and then 'playing' it by smashing the block with a sledgehammer for example :)
Welcome to Daniweb, Anon the mouse...
Didn't think it was in particularly bad taste, but then I didn't think it was particularly funny either :)
Is there a large metal/rock scene in India?
Hi Gunda, welcome to DaniWeb.
Hi Sosina, welcome to the DaniWeb community.
What she said! Welcome to the school of DaniWeb :)
I live in the village of the damned, it's official. We've had freeing fog all week, got to 1 degree C today which was the warmest it has been.
Silly thing is, drive out of the village and the fog clears. Hangs around in patches but is really quite light or non-existant.
Return to the village and it is a real pea-souper.
