Re: the fact that it is from the us should not matter. make sure you are connected to the net when rebooting and if the apple guys wont help i would recommend jailbreaking it and then restoring it through itunes, hope this helps | |

Re: certain antiviruses can cause this problem it is just inteference between the Av and you networking card(s) i would recommend changing antivirus to either AVAST! or AVGFREE as they are both effective and free | |

Re: jholland thats a bit harsh. I bought a genuine version that after a while got invalidated because someone had pirated the key through reverse engineering the acrtivation. anyway i would recommend reformating and reinstalling windows. | |

Re: ok thanks for the warning about asc3 will uninstall now. as for the problem i would download a process monitor that prevents any process from running without you prior permission. obviously it memorises the safe ones that you tell it. good luck! | |
