Re: with some cable ISPs they require specific timeout settings on your router, this could be the issue. call your ISP and find out the optimal settings .. also set your network card duplexing to 1000full or 100full AND do the stuff rch1231 said :) | |

Re: try using some sort of fdisk tool to completely remove the free dos partition. i suspect it came preinstalled with a different file format therefore the windows xp install disk cannot read it. once you completely remove of the partitions then try your xp install again. | |

Re: we use a lot of logmein. you are able to reboot the pc , it doesn't freeze up on the windows 7 popup messages and you can use the free version for almost everything. logmein rescue is awesome also for support. | |
