Now this is interesting. I'm not going to insult you by explaining Google Buzz in here - it's been done elsewhere and if you're a member of this site then you probably know about it already.
But...
I'm interested in the reaction. It's a sort of collective 'so what'? Granted the functions have been duplicated elsewhere many times over but that usually doesn't stop people going wild over new tech.
It's the same with the Nexus One, selling a couple of hundred thousand worldwide in its first month, which was nothing compared to expectations. I can't speak for anyone else but I'm going to be very interested to see what the actual sales will be like for the iPad. Reactions from the blogosphere have mostly been lukewarm.
Could it be - finally - that we're over our love affair with technology for the sake of it, and that we're finally behaving as if we're in a worldwide recession and evaluating stuff properly before committing?
