Chances are that newly built website never recieve search traffic. This is because Google & other search engine normally index new website as from 6 months upwards.

I think some backlinks from high PR (above 6) sources would definitely make your sites being indexed within 48 hours, IMO. :)

For fast indexing, increase your back linking with quality & related sites. Submit your directory in quality directories, make blogs etc..

There is also such a thing called pinging, and you can do this to make the indexing process faster. It send signals to other sites that you aer making an update on your site so might as well try it. Some sites get ot be indexed even before two weeks with this one.

Creating inbound links helps your site get index. If you want to sub-pages or inner pages get listed on search engines, then deep linking and creating a sitemap helps.
