I need help finding the cmos/bios battery. Any help here would be great, because sony wants to charge me an outrageous amount for it. Thanks.

on the motherboard in a socket or inside a compartment attatched with a long wire (in laptops which use the latter method its sometimes under the main battery)

ive done it on a thinkpad. It was a paibn in the ass but was made easier because I ebayed an IBM service manual, maybe you could do the same ?
