I HAVE A TOSHIBA Satelite L30 Laptop, With windows XP home SERVICE pack2. I tried upgrading my ram from 768 to 1024mb of ram. then when i turn my laptop back on i get a message saying. Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt. <windows root\system32\ntoskrnl.exe please reinstall a copy of the above. BUT when i put the 256mb back in and take out the 512mb its fine. I'm quite sure my laptop is able tocope with the extra memorie. Any advice will be good. EMAIL me At POVSTA@live.com.au THANKS

remove you existing 2 stick of ram just add the new one see what happens, if it works, then add the old stick of 512 with the new one , see what happens .
