I have an IBM Intellistation Pro Z server. The power supply fan runs all of the time while the cord is plugged in. If the power supply fails, I would like to replace it with a generic power supply. What type would work on this machine? Is a server power supply different than a regular ATX power supply? An IBM replacement is hard to find and very expensive.

You will need to compare its connector wiring to that of a standard PSU.
