I have a Dell OptiPlex GX280 and it only has 516Mb of RAM and i want to get at least 2Gb and im just wondering what the max speed supported is. It has pc2-3200 and i would like to put in pc2-6400 but im not able to find out if its supported.

It says what stock RAM is but not what is supported.

It looked to me that those were for the installed system RAM and regular RAM. I was looking for a support table or something.

that the 2 supported speeds of ram it will take !
you could likely run it with pc2- 6400 but it will only run at the higher of the 2 supported speeds

Thanks for the help . I put the 6400 in it and it ran its registered 800 MHz in bios just like it should. I already had the RAM i just didnt want to break it by puting it in.
