Am having the following error on switching on the comp. , anybody has got a clue on how to safely flash the BIOS.

flash saftly depends on your motherboard ,so check with them .remove any floppy disk from machine, enter bios and set defaults ,save and exit ,boot again
Do as suggested by Caperjack..try also clearing your CMOS by removing your CMOS battery..then as per Caperjack advised do "Load BIOS Defaults" check if it will help.
