A focused troubleshooting sequence to isolate whether this is a GPU, power, motherboard or BIOS issue — building on points raised by and .

Start safe: power down and unplug the PSU, then carefully reseat the card and its PCIe power plug(s). Inspect the slot and card edge for debris or bent contacts and make sure the card is fully latched in the slot. Check the case standoff area for any contact between the card PCB and chassis (shorts can kill POST). Use basic ESD precautions when handling components.

Isolate the video path: disconnect the discrete card and connect the monitor to the onboard video (or vice versa) to confirm the system can at least reach BIOS. If the onboard works, enter BIOS and verify primary display is set correctly; only update BIOS if the vendor notes explicit compatibility fixes and you can guarantee uninterrupted power during the flash. If no onboard output, boot with minimal parts (one stick of RAM in the recommended slot) to rule out memory/slot issues and clear CMOS if needed.

Power and hardware verification: watch the GPU fans and any motherboard LEDs at power-on. If fans never spin, the card may not be getting power. Test with a known-good PSU or a PSU tester rather than relying on adapters or splitters; avoid cheap Molex-to-PCIe adapters for high-draw cards. If possible, try the video card in another working PC and try a different monitor/cable (DVI/HDMI/DP adapters can require active conversion).

If all isolation steps fail, consult the motherboard manual for POST/beep-code meanings and consider an RMA or professional bench test. Keep notes of each change and the exact behavior observed — that log makes fault-finding and any warranty claim much easier.

Make sure your Power Supply Amp in 12V is more than 30A.
