everything is hooked up including the front panel stuff, i turn on the power and hit the switch nothing happens. i only hear the Powersupply noise.

Are you sure your motherboard can hold you processor, are you sure they are both copatible because ive heard of some processor having just that bit too much power for the motherbaord!
