Hi, I have been trying to use my new IPOD and also in the recent past my PALM and neither can sync with the computer. When I plug in the IPOD to the USB port it freezes up my computer and I have to shut it down manually. Please help!

Usually it is a resource issue or port issue. Sometimes if you have it in one USB port it doesn't receive the resources quick enough and it times out. Try first switching ports and restarting your OS.
If that fails remove unnesscary items from your Startup in MSconfig.
Becareful not to remove important items from your Startup. If you have a question on what the startup file is associated with try googling the name before unchecking the box.
