I hope this is the right forum...my apologies if it isn't.
Every once in a while (maybe every other day, at most) when I reboot my computer, I get the "Disk read error occurred. Press ctl-alt-del"
Now, there's a new mother board (ECS 945GZT-M) and processor Intel Core Duo. I ran every hardware test I can think of: built in Windows, PC Doctor, Hitachi's disk drive test, etc...
And all of them came up with nothing.
I'm thinking my hard drive is a little flaking but not so bad off that the testing programs are catching it - it is the oldest piece of hardware on my computer. Then again, did I end up with a flaking motherboard that ECS's QA department missed?
Any suggestions?
