Hi there.. I'm looking for my ethernet controller driver for my computer..
I can't connect to the internet using an ethernet cord and currently using a usb cord..
While it is slowing down my internet speed it's using up space where i can put other devices such as my ipods and printers..

on device manger it is showing this:

there is no imagine attached, but i would suggest you go to the web site for the manufacturer of the PC and get the latest drivers. Seeing that you have connection with a USB now.

i would go to windows updates and do the custom scan , check for hardware driver updates ,it might have one for the nic.
it it a pci device or onboard nic.

That really sucks.
You have a 10/100 Fast Ethernet Adapter
Download Belarc to identify it:
http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html
Then we should be able to find a driver.

coo... can you tell me which header i should be looking in.. cuz i cant seem to find it..

so it gave no hardware updates ,can you tell me if this onboard network or a addin pci network card .onboard plug will be higher up on the back of tower near the usb plugs and pci nic will be lower down on the back of tower .also i don't think belarc is best program to tell you whats in the box ,download and run Everest from link below ,and check out network settings in the left panel .

Look under Communications.

great to hear that it help with you problem

the chipset drivers should have included it anyway?

I have windows 2003 Enterprise R2 SP2. I wouldn't suggest windows update.. when you can not connect to the internet due to a lack of an ethernet controller driver.. Windows Update is a moot point.
