Lazey 0 Newbie Poster

I have Thunderbird installed on my home Desktop and work Laptop. I have each set to leave mail on the server until I delete it. This worked great until last week. Suddenly, my Desktop stopped retrieving emails for one of the four email account under the profile. It reports that there are no new messages and never gives an error. When, I load Thunderbird up on my Laptop, it downloads the average 15 spam emails that are always there.

No changes have been made to my email settings and both computers are set the same. The laptop is not deleting the email off the server before the desktop checks for mail.

When I noticed I had 1001 emails in this particular inbox on my desktop, I thought it may be some bug linked to 1000+ emails. I have deleted a few hundred and noticed no change.

Any suggestions of things to check would be great.
Also, verification that 1000's of emails does not break Thunderbird would be nice.
