Hi, need some help here. Once my 2000 hit by a virus, I manage to fix it, but it can not automatically power off while shut it down as usual, anyone got an idea how to fix it ? Thanks.

Can you check this:

In the Control Panel, is the APM (advanced power management) activated?

In your motherboard bios, is the ACPI function enabled?

In BIOS, I am sure it is set, ACPI, about APM, not seen in Control Panel, only see Power Option, inside it, 1 of 4 tabs is Advanced, but just 1 selection to put an icon in status bar.
Another thing needs attention, while showing "It is now safe to turn off your computer", it backs to safe mode, which showing only 640x480.
So, you have better idea ? Thanks anyway
