I'd like a reference for all registry entries that might be used by XP after an install. All right, I know I can't get all entries, but I'd like as complete a list as I can get. I'd rather not have to go to the knowledge base or forums and get an entry at a time. Are there any references of any kind for this?

TIA,
Scott

Considering the number of entries in the registry, even with a basic install-I should think a complete ,or nearly complete list is not to be found in any available reference book.
Who would want to list them?

Well, Micosoft itself has the resources to do so. In fact, they probably have such a reference internally. Probably not in a book but rather online.

The most useful set would be those set/used by the control panel.

If you google "Windows registry Guide" you can see what's there. That's what we'd do and then pretend we know the answer to your question!

Point is that anyone who has produced one has an object of commercial value.

Cheers
