I just bought a Big Typhoon VX for my AMD Athlon X2 5000+ OC'd to 3GHz. The temps idle are from 30C-36C according to CoreTemp, and 36C-45C according to SpeedFan. Temps under load for an hour or so are 50C-55C according to CoreTemp, and 53C-58C according to SpeedFan. Which one is more accurate, I've been going with SpeedFan because it shows hotter temps, but I would like to think CoreTemp is correct.

Are these temps worth the almost $70 I paid for the Big Typhoon VX?
I have the side of my case open because if I close it, it gets super hot in there.

well ... same "problem" here...
don't forgot, it depends on your room temp too...
mine is at the moment 25C, and here are my test results..
running core2quad 6700 CPU with stock fan cooler.
