Hi everybody,

My Canon Camcorder MV430 does not work anymore on Firewire-port. However, it does work on my son's computer. So the cable and the camcorder are O.K.
My neighbour's Panasonic camcorder is working perfect on the firewire-port, so this seems to be O.K. as well.
I cannot find drivers on Canon's website, their helpdesk says that drivers should already be integrated on Windows XP SP3.
Maybe there is a registry-problem, I do not know.

Who knows how to fix it?

Does the camcorder show up in the device manager?

Have you more than one firewire device to try or different ports to try?
