My speakers when not playing sounds or music make buzzing noises when i move the mouse around and when the computer is "thinking".

I have used different speakers so its not the speakers problem. When i go to connect the speakers to the jack at the back of the computer and just touch the plug with the jack it makes buzzing as if its "static-ty"

This happend after i installed XP home on to the computer (currently running SP2, on a P3 800, 144ram, 64mb vram) it may be my sound card that is stock and built into the motherboard.

make sure the input (ie microphone) is on mute if you are not usign it. Is the cable any good? you say you tested other spearers, but did you use the same cable?
