I have a 1920 by 1080 resolution and it worked fine before, but then after I changed the resulution to put a movie on my projector it worked fine... when the movie was over I could not change my resolution back.

Jump to Postneed lmotre info but have you disconencted the projector (it maybe hanging on to that resolution).
Have you rebooted with complete reboot (not just warm restart)
Have you then checked the resolution both on the computer and the monitor ( has the default on the monitor been changed?)

if you include what you did to try to get it back to what it was, that may allow someone to give you some other suggestions.
