hi guys/gals,

i have a compaq presario and i want to install a new sound card. but how do i disable my "chipset" ... i do not have a soundcard (it's a chipset) ... would i have to go into the bios??? or what should i do???

++++got it ... chatted with a compaq technician and he helped me ;) woot woot..

yes, access the bios at bootup, could be del key, f1 or f2 button. Should be a piece of cake.
