ok so i recently put on xp. hoow can i stop messeger from being in the system tray upon start up

Jump to PostFrom your desktop:
-right click the messenger icon on the task bar and select open
-from the messenger window choose tool>options
-in the options window click the perference tab
-clear the checkboxes that say "start messenger at windows startup" and "allow this program to run in the background"
-click ok
