One I just recently tried in terms of spyware is a squared http://www.emsisoft.com/en/software/free/
I heard about it from a friend, so I downloaded it. Did a scan with Ad-Aware SE, it found two items, then did one with a squared, and it found 46, so it seems to be pretty good.

For image browsing I reccomend Picasa.It can be downloaded from a google webstite, and although i'm a photographer i i need a powerfull tool for images, i use this one, because it's great!)

www.belarc.com use this for locating chipset without openning the computer, or if you forgot you windows xp key or any info from the hardware or software. its like looking at the system info but breaks it down and makes it easier to understand.

1. emailStripper is a free program for cleaning the ">" and other formatting characters out of your emails. It will restore "forwarded" or "replied" emails back to their original state so they're easier to read.

HI All

My 2 cents.

I am using "Bearshare" for downloading as it works fine for me. Good for downloading full movies, music, images, documents, applications etc. its a complete package. But beware the newest version which is compatible with vista doesnot allow anything except downlading music and music videos, nothing else.

You should have XP for the other download features and the older version Bearshare 5.2.5 to be able to use it to download everything i said before. You ll need to search on google to find the older version as the bearshare website dont have the older ones on it.

Next one is "Star Office" which is alternate to Microsoft office and is free from Sun download centre. Download it, its got word, excel etc. Havent looked at it in detail as yet but will get to it and let u all know.

Sorry guys, i know i have not included no links but beleive me google it and u ll get there. its no biggie.

Now what it ll enable u do is worth tryin. You can actually back your dvds up using this as it allows you to shrink your dvds and write em onto dvd r/rw which is quite good and also you can choose which features of a dvd u want to copy .

DVD Shrink is free to use. all you need is search for it.
