Hi everyone,

Haven't been to DaniWeb in a while, but I have a question that I just can't find the answer to. Just some background: I am running Windows 7 (32-bit).

I am trying to organize my movie collection and when I try to organize the movies that start by 'the ...' they all get grouped together under 't' (as expected). I was wondering if there is a method for excluding the word 'the' in file sorting so that the files will be sorted by the next word?

So for example, instead of 'The Big Lebowski' being sorted under 't' it is sorted with the 'b'-category.

I don't think that's possible.

not unless you edit the name of the movie file and remove the ,THE

What the two posters say is true. you can only sort the files according to the first letter in the word is be deleting The. Unless you made the a default. Which mean every file will have the format the at the front and the files will sort according to the second word
