my computer was running fine until i restarted it. the volume control icon was gone from the task bar. there's no windows start up and shut down audio. window won't play its own .wav files.

my msn is on silent mode as well.

but the funniest thing is i can hear mymp3s on winamp and windows media player.

i can't do restore point cause i just cleared it due to lack of space in my drives!

i've tried checking for conflict but there's none..
there's no error whatsoever thats showing either.

Start>Control Panel>Sounds and Audio Devices

On the Volume tab, check the box that says "Place volume icon in the taskbar"

And make sure Mute is not checked.

ah. did that already. doesn't appear even though i restarted a few times. not on mute either.
