Hi All,
I have a Acer 8935G and in the past few weeks the laptop has been doing the following:
The hard drive or DVD drive click, and the screen will either go black or freeze, whilst the laptop sounds to still be running.
When I power cycle, in most instances the screen stays black for about 3/4 times before it works.
Any ideas what this could be, or any tests or suggestions I could perform to narrow it down?

I also encountered the same problem as yours' one but, I had a PC. This problem mostly occurs when the your HDD gots a Bad Sector. It's too much difficult to repair it but, you can repair it by using Windows Disk Management Service and some other softwares or else your HDD, in my view, has become a garbage like mine.
