Does anybody know how to disable the sound that is heard when one adjusts the system volume? By this, I mean the icon of a speaker that is found in the System tray at the right hand end of the taskbar.
Every time I turn the volume up or down I hear a sound when I release the mouse button. I want to hear nothing when I release it. I've been to Control Panel | Sounds and Audio Devices | Sounds (tab) and all the other tabs. Nothing seems to work. Is it not possible to dsiable this sound?

ensure that the sound schemes are turned off and lso check the themes you are using they some have default sounds associated with each theme.

How do I get to where I turn off sound schemes, and also themes?
