I know there is a limit of about 3GB Ram in win xp 32bit, but I have heard that there is a >3GB switch in win xp 32 that will make xp recognise more than 3GB ram. Is this true?

Saerch the forum on 3GB and you'll find a full debate on the subject. You can use up to 4GB in XP 32. Use of the /3GB switch has to be thought about.

Also google /3GB and you'll get the full skinny.

You may also get wise sages on this forum telling you not to bother with 4GB. I can tell you for sure that you can cut paging substantially with 4GB RAM and standard memory settings.

generally you wouldn't use over 2Gb anyway
