So on my home network, I have just two computers. I have a linksys router. On my laptop, which is running vista, I type in net view in cmd to view the host names on my network. I only get my laptops host name. I have my other computer, which is running XP, on the same workgroup named MYWORKGROUP. Both computers are on the same workgroup. Am I missing something? Why cant i view the other host computer?

Ok, now I can see the other computer but i cant remotely shutdown. Can someone help?
