I want to know cisco router series classification is on what basis??

like cisco has 80 series or 1800 ..is it done on some property

There is actually no classification to that. I use Cisco router but never bother to check that. Maybe the newer router are classify with a higher number.

yeah i had also seen that. perhaps it might indicates the speed of the router

If that is the case, it varies. Higher number may mean newer router but not all the time it is classified as such.
