Ethernet to all but one location. Would wireless work?
You're going to need a wireless bridge to carry traffic on any decent network camera. Make certain you're close to megapixel capabilitiy if you want adequate security features...remember that a good network camera is a computer, i.e., it has a MAC …

just make sure the router works with 802.11g - your card is "g" so any router with "g" protocol or better will work.

even if these adapters gave you the entire 200Mb/s you probably won't be able to tell the difference between that and 100Mb/s ethernet

try and download Motherboard Monitor and check your fan rpm and system temperatures. You may need a better cpu fan or just need to remount the chip with new paste.

I think you might have inadvertantly changed the language...you can try to change the language of the machine that works...don't actually do the change, just note what you have to enter/do to get to that point and try and duplicate those steps on the "alien"

CPH, to handle this yourself, you are probably going to have to go into the router's command page...it's not that hard to do, so: Question: Did you set up the router and if not, who did? You should be able to connect the second PC into a port in the …

as improbable as it seems, this can be a loose memory card. The lights will come on but the startup routine does not get far enough to turn the monitor on. It won't hurt to pull and reseat everything in your case and clean it thouroughly. If you haven't cleaned …

you may be in safe mode. Try to reboot the machine and. if given a choice, take normal mode. It should do it automatically, however.

just a guess but if you can see a display for a second, there could be a component that's become sensitive to heat. That's a rough one with the price of monitors...too expensive to fix...but don't give up, I could be wrong.

I would bet that the memory card is either mounted incorrectly or the upgrade is not right for the computer. In both these cases, your startup routine will not get to the point of starting the monitor and you will get no signal...but the computer lights will come on.
