Even I had somewhat similar problems, it was annoying I was not able uninstall or even install a new copy of AVG
If the site relevant to your site, then can go for it.
Anybody know more about Google has announced it’s disapproval of paid links. They will even go as far as penalise webmasters both for selling and buying paid links. But, is it not extremely difficult to identify a paid link and even if you find one, how do you prove that this is the case?
Welcome to the forum, that's a nice introduction.
Welcome to Daniweb, glad to see you here.
Welcome to the forum, Blake. Have a great time around.
The link doesn't work -- its apparently restricted for some reason.
This link to youtube video should work, I like this video as concept of word of mouth marketing is demonstrated in simple terms here and it's true that trusted endorsements by friends is the best form of advertising.
You can tell your friend about it and tell them to visit your site.
I agree, tell a friend widgets will help you to drive traffic from your existing traffic. Check out this youtube video, it may help you to understand word of mouth marketing
I do go with daily podcast than weekly one
Other points to take care to increase PR :
1.Try to include a few outbound links to high quality sites in every document. That indicates a quality connection between your document and others sites that Google already considers to be quality sites.
2. Learn from your competitors. Go to Google and search for the competing keywords, go to the first few sites with high page rank and analyse those sites, see what they have done differently than your site.
3. Relevant and rich content.
4. Sometimes your site competes with many other sites for the same keywords. Rather than optimising all of your site for the same keywords, try to find less competitive keywords and optimise some of your pages for those keywords. There are both commercial and free programs to help you do that.
Whichver you choose make sure to speak to the customer service department and make sure that they are informed about the business and have a 24/7-customer service line available.
That's a nice introduction post, welcome to the forum. Glad to have you here.

I agree with x3mario, marketing is essential for your blog to grow its traffic. Spend 80% of your time on marketing and 20% of your time on posting quality post.
why? when you monitor a single system, a large scale solution is overkill
Yeah, I was wrong there. I agree nothing beats a good script when monitoring single system..
Yeah... A group of people having common interests. Sharing, participation, and fellowship. Welcome to the Daniweb.
Welcome to the forum, Rachel. BTW your introduction is interesting :)
Try searching for a monitoring application before giving in and trying a script.
Some sites provide banner advertising service, where you can pay them monthly to put your banner on their website. Putting your banner there may bring visitors from the website with high traffic to your website.
Besides paid methods, there is also free banner exchange service.

Both are important, and here your Google PR is good.
Google Page Rank, that appears in the Google Toolbar, is the measure of a particular webpage's popularity or importance, mainly based on the number of inbound links as computed using the pagerank formula.
Alexa Traffic Rank, on the other hand, is the measure of a website's traffic, including traffic from its sub-domains, based on a three months of aggregated historical traffic data from Alexa Toolbar users.
It depends, some things you can do to make it -
1) Link exchange
2) Buy Banners/Links
3) Increase your backlinks
Those 3 alone can help you also your niche must not be cramped. And please don't buy posts. Personally any activity should be encouraged and nourished even if it wasn't the sites original intent. Go where the traffic takes you and don't fight it.
As what SEO's always says link build, link bait and perseverance, you will need those three.
Well Google it you'll get many, youtube seems to have blocked downloads with various youtube downloaders.
You say you have disabled unnecessary apps, disable unnecessary Apps running in the background - Try disabling one at a time in msconfig/startup.
Norton did/does slow down my PC running XP Pro. However it seems to be back to normal - but only if I use the 'Classic. Appearance. Too soon to be certain... But the effect is startling... Anyone else see this?
Social media in its simplest form is, an individual who find groups of like minded people to share ideas and discuss different topics.
If you join these communities and start using it to share ideas, business opportunities, and learn new techniques and ideas. Best of all you can start developing your trust within the community and to start improving your business profile.
The main social media companies are found on the web. This is were millions of people can meet old friends, high school class mates, create business contacts and meet people all over the world.
Welcome to the forum. You have come to the right place. Forum is source of knowledge base.
One good way to prevent hacking is to use a secure password.
As I was once taught in a Cisco class, the best passwords are non alpha numeric passwords.
An example would be %(!#~=>.%)#>@#%) just because it would be almost impossible to crack.
Also stuff like not using the same password for more than one thing.
