Maybe you dont like the current WMP you have an want to Downgrade but get the annoying message you have a newer version??

Navigate to this key

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Setup\Installed Versions

and change the values of the 3 subkeys to whats listed below (This makes it look like you have wmp9 and can then re-install 9/10 if you want to)

"wmplayer.exe"=hex:00,00,09,00,a4,0b,00,00

98se only recognizes 512megs of ram though (Without reg editing) which may be why your getting a memory error im not sure.......

Yes it certainly is no surprise..........

This has been going on along time and just now its been publicly exposed.....

Who knows how long it will be BEFORE THEY FIX IT!!

If you can find the folder in the deleted files you should be able to restore IT and all the contents.......

On Windows we have a program called RESTORATION (Like what your using) and it will bring back folders (And if it had files in it when deleted usually recovers them also)
