If you can access your desktop you dont need a disk to do this. go to run or search from your start menu and choose cmd.exe (run as administrator) make sure you're in C:\_ and type sfc /scannow. done.

use a free registry cleaner like CCleaner or a software uninstall program to try to rip off all the pieces of windows live that may be causing this error. http://www.revouninstaller.com/

yea windows 7 32 bit only recognizes 2GB of ram, if u want all 4GB you need 64 bit version. OR, maybe you dont have multi-channeling enabled in your bios. you may only be using one module.

just be sure you'll be putting a 64 bit version OS on there because if you run 32 bit you will likely only be using half of all that sexy ram.
