i am having compaq presario sr1425il boot rom bios driver is currupt. M/b is Asus PTGD1-LA(Goldfish2) I don't know what to do?:(

The BIOS is a set of operation instructions stored in a IC on your motherboard. If the BIOS was damaged your computer would effectively be dead. If you think that there is something not functioning properly because of a BIOS setting try clearing the CMOS by either using the jumper on the motherboard next to the battery or unplug the computer and remove the battery for about fifteen or twenty minutes. This will revert the BIOS setting to their default values.

Yep exactly, try removing the battery and clearing up the CMOS. that would most likely solve ur problem and once its up and running you would be able to get it upgraded as well but that is after thought.
