today i received an Intel D865GLC socet 478 with a celeron D processor. I hooked everything up, had it up and running with 1 gig of ram, hard drive, and keyboard. Booted up just fine, I shut it down to install a CDROM, when i went to turn it back on the CPU fan spun around for maybe two seconds and that was it. I then unplugged the cd rom thinking that might have been the problem, plugged the power cord back in, green light came on. and that was it. no fan no nothing.. just a green light on the mb.
Im totally stumped. Ive tried one stick of ram at a time, in different positions.. ect ect.
even took the battery out for a couple hrs.. didnt help.
any suggestions? Im very careful when i work, no carpet. well grounded.
please help!!
