Hi all,

When clicking 'start' I have an otion titled 'My Recent Documents' which list all the recent files I've just looked at. I'm using XP. I don't particularly wish the recent files to be available to be displayed. How do I get rid of this annoying option being listed please?

Thanks

Right-click on the Start button.

Choose 'Properties', and on the 'Start Menu' tab click on the Customize button.
On the Advanced tab, deselect the entry for "List my most recently opened documents" and click OK and Apply as necessary.

That'll do it ;)

Brilliant. Clear, concise instructions and a speedy response too. And yes it worked.

Thanks a lot.

PS: I remember the show Catweazle. I'll get it when they decide to bring it out on DVD. Sorry an off-topic comment.
