Hi there, i am having some freezing issues with my hp laptop. i am running windows XP professional. In order for the computer to run at all i have to push down either directly on the trackpad or to the left of it which seems to be above where my RAM is. I already tried unplugging and replugging in the RAM and even the HArd Drive but the issue still persists. Any ideas? Thanks.

This is a warranty or repair job IMHO.
